Coreopsis Naturally Dyed River Yarn
Coreopsis Naturally Dyed River Yarn
“Never waste a dye pot!” is a mantra around our dye studio. Saving the dye bath after a collaboration using dyers’ coreopsis flowers, we added a hank of grey River yarn. The flowers are grown in our friend’s dye garden. This one-of-kind beauty would look fabulous combined with several of our other grey dyed wool skeins, be sure to check them out before they are gone.
River, one of our featured rustic yarns is mill spun Border Leicester wool from Carpe Dream Acres, Susquehanna County, PA. A longwool breed known for its versatility and crimp, it can be used both for clothing as well as household textiles.
Two ply DK Weight
250yds
100grams/3.5 oz
100% Border Leicester Wool
Origin: Susquehanna County PA
Suggested Needle Size: US# 5 - 7 (3.75 - 4.5 mm)
Care: Hand wash with a Ph neutral soap, lay flat to dry, store out of direct sunlight. With natural dyed yarn, variations in color and some vegetable matter are normal. Yarn will release a slight color loss with the first few washings.
